This blog is about what’s happening at First New York Federal Credit Union and in the financial community. First New York is a financial cooperative that have been in business since 1937. We have seven branch offices located in the Capital District of New York State. The credit union also has two student run branches in the Schenectady and Mohonasen High Schools.
My name is Walt Everhardt and I’m the administrator, editor and head writer for this blog. In addition, you’ll hear my voice in the podcasts, which we are also producing.

Walter, congratulations on your blog and podcast. We should begin a blog/podcast network in NYS. The Boardcast has been online since January – I blog from the BOD perspective.
Good luck with your efforts – maybe we’ll run into each other at one of our NYS conferences.

Thank you for posting your comment. I checked your blog and I like it. It’s very similar to the thinking behind our blog – similar content, philosophy, etc… Just that mine is coming from management’s perspective rather than the BOD. Keep up the good work!
